About me

I am a software engineer mainly focused on Full-Stack Javascript development, especially the MERN stack. I am excited to continue learning and mastering React & Python, and I am currently studying to take the CompTIA Security+ exam.

I come from a multi-cultural family and background, which gave me a strong foundation in communication and cultivated a love for working with a team toward a common goal. I am fluent in Brazilian Portuguese and English, I speak some Spanish and am learning Japanese and Dutch in my free time; a lover of travel and grey, gloomy days.

Robota

Mobile-first Web App

Robota is an app that connects Ukrainian Refugees in the Washington state area with similarly located job posters. Seekers can filter the job by location, name, or by industry and can contact the poster via e-mail or a link directly to their site. Job posters can post a job directly through the app using the job poster page that will be visible to the seekers directly.

Implemented user sign in and styled mobile-first front-end of a decoupled app built via the MERN stack

Responsive Full-stack Web App

Lacking among actors and friends of said actors is a single source of upcoming shows; this app gathers and organizes that information, and ultimately supports local theatre and the arts.

I created a Full-stack Flask application, connecting to and performing data operations on PostgreSQL; with secure authentication, the front end was built using React

Responsive Web App, multiple models

After years of being locked in and hungry to see the world, our app fills the void by providing a beautifully designed space to make plans, both in our local cities, or elsewhere. Create your itinerary and explore the map and places around you!

Implemented and styled an interactive map feature using Mapbox to render a responsive and appealing user experience, with additional styling using Tailwind

Developed a decoupled app, with web application framework and server via the full MERN stack that enables the storage and manipulation of user data, utilizing MongoDB

Pet Trails

Responsive Web App

This app bridges a major gap in the pet world, and removes the guess work, by connecting all pet information, owner information, and vet records in one place, linked by their microchip number.

Implemented a user sign in feature & profile creation, with a multi-model relational database, using Google OAuth, Mongoose, & MongoDB, for secure authentication and database management.

Created a web app framework and server via Node.js/Express, enabling the storage and manipulation of user data; Built the back-end application implementing REST API

The Battle at HogWARts

card game

Carrying a card deck around isn't practical, but being able to play a card game on your mobile device at any time or in any place would have changed my childhood for the better!

Coded the game logic using JS to render appropriate scenarios for two end users; tested and debugged using JS to ensure coding best practices were implemented successfully

Developed front end styling framework, hover and keyframe animations using CSS, Flexbox & Grid to ensure responsive design and render appealing and accessible user experience
